Nintendo Wii
The Nintendo Wii is the world’s most popular gaming system with over 34 million units sold and has well over 6 million more units sold then the Xbox 360 and double the amount of PS 3 units sold.
What makes the Nintendo Wii so unique is how interactive it is with gamers. Most games require that you provide an action or movement in order to control the play in the game. It has been a hit among the senior citizen population a group not previously known to play video games. For example if you play Wii Bowling you actually have to move the Wii remote as if you are throwing the bowling ball and then have to release a button in order to release the ball much like real bowling. The accuracy and fun of the Nintendo Wii makes it an appealing system among young children and teenagers.
The most popular game independently sold for the Wii is Wii play with over 16 million copies sold worldwide. What also makes the Nintendo Wii is it’s affordable price which is much lower then the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 console.
The only drawback for the Wii is the wireless remotes as they have been known to be deadly for TV’s. The remotes come with straps however they can fly off and do serious damage to the TV screen. Other then this small little detail the Nintendo Wii is perfect for the whole family and is child friendly and gets people off the couch, which is a good thing!
