Apple iPhone
The Apple iPhone is developed and created by the multimedia giant Apple Inc. What makes the iPhone so unique is its touch based interface with very little hardware to power it. The keyboard is powered by the touch based software and is loaded into the screen of the phone instead of being
built in as hardware.
Other cool functions the iPhone has includes a portable media player which is very similar to the iPod as well as having standard features such as text messaging and web browsing and wi-fi connectivity. It has received rave reviews from all over the world including Time Magazine which coined the iPhone 3G as the “Invention of the Year 2007”. What made this phone even more powerful was the fact Apple has since installed assisted GPS to help mobile phone users find out where they are located. The iPhone comes with a comfortable 8GB of storage capacity with up to 16GB in flash memory.
It also comes with a 2 megapixel camera and is bluetooth ready. Several million iPhones have been sold worldwide and also surpassed sales of Research In Motion’s “Blackberry” making it one of the hottest items to buy in 2008. Expect the iPhone to make another huge impact in the mobile market in 2009 as they start to become ever increasingly popular and more affordable especially during the recession.
